Chair: Chris Ruane
In this meeting we will hear from speakers who have been leading the implementation of a wellbeing agenda across the UK.
This meeting will explore the why and how governments are putting into practice the goal to improve wellbeing, with insights from those in governments working on implementing a wellbeing approach and an international alliance of organisations.
Speakers include:
Gary Gillespie, Chief Economist, Government of Scotland
Jacob Ellis, Communications and Public Affairs Lead (Acting) – standing in for Sophie Howe, Commissioner for the Future Generations Act in Wales
Aideen McGinley, Trustee, Carnegie UK Trust, Northern Ireland
Nick Carroll, Economic Counsellor, New Zealand Treasury
Katherine Trebeck, Policy and Knowledge Lead, Wellbeing Economy Alliance
Professor Paul Dolan will be the discussant.
We look forward to an engaging discussion based on the examples, challenges and contexts shared by each speaker and how an approach for the UK can best build on existing knowledge and evidence of what works.
